 2012-13 Priority registration for current pre-school families and Hillcrest church families begins Feb. 6

 

 

 Morning class options for 3-year-olds*:  Developmentally appropriate curriculum promoting language development, and social, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth

-9:30-11:30 am

-One to five day options:  Monday, Tuesday/Thursday, Wednesday/Friday

 .

 

 


Afternoon class options for 4-year-olds*:  12:30-2:30 pm

-Xcel! (Monday): desgined to fully explore science, math, language and reading skills in an atmosphere of engaged learning

-Pre-K (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday): the building blocks of the 4-year-old curriculum are developed and used to challenge and prepare the child for a positive kindergarten experience

-Creative Arts (Friday): this unique class explores many facets of art form including puppetry, hand bell choir and drama

*Age 3 or 4 by December 1 of the current year

 


Our Goals:

-to provide your child with a positive first school experience

-to prepare your child socially, academically, physically and emotionally for kindergarten

-to reinforce those values and qualities you as a parent are striving to develop in the home through an atmosphere of Christian love where Biblical principles and concepts are integrated into the curriculum

 

Our Program:

-20 units of study including fire safety, health and nutrition, five senses, animals in winter, foreign language, planting and growing, and community helpers.

-each unit incorporates basic skills needed for kindergarten readiness

-daily schedule includes muscle room (gross motor play), craft time, guided activities, circle time (story, music, finger plays, sharing, social/academic learning activity), free play and snack time.

-special events and field trips enhance learning
