From Mother’s Day to Father’s Day our Sunday morning message series will help us discover the timeless truth of God’s word to help us deal with today’s family challenges. Each Sunday our pastors will speak to the unique needs of moms, dads, kids, parents and our extended families. See you on Sunday!
God moves when we pray. Let’s join in 40 days of concentrated prayer for families. You’re invited to post requests and praises on the auditorium walls. Post-it notes are available in the foyer for each color-coded category. You’re encouraged to find a time to pray over the posted requests: before or after Sunday worship or Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm. We’ll also offer for four special “after work” prayer gatherings 5-6 pm on May 13 & 20 and June 3 & 10. Daily prayer guides will be included in our Sunday bulletins throughout the 40 Days.
Through our Vision 20/20 campaign we desire to share the healing, hope and authentic life change that we have experienced with many more people in our community and around the world. With over $175,000 already received we have increased our missions budget supporting two additional missionaries and have completed extensive renovations to our Family Center. The next phase of renovations will begin this spring with the construction of a storage facility and will continue in the summer with remodeling of the men’s and ladies’ restrooms. Currently members of the Hillcrest family have committed to give over $260,00 toward the $350,000 goal. Those wanting to learn more about Vision 20/20 are invited to an upcoming Engagement Gathering in June. Contact the church office to reserve a seat.
Check out the Ministry Fair table in the foyer to explore an opportunities to “Serve God by serving others.” Look for a ministry where you can discover and use your spiritual gifts.
A Safety and Security Team is forming and needs volunteers. Whether you have a background in public safety (law enforcement, fire, medical), security (military or private security) or you simply have a desire to serve in this area, reach out to Justin Martin or leave a note in the Sunday morning Welcome Folder and he’ll get in touch with you.
A Membership Dinner is scheduled for May 5 at 6 pm. If you’ve been attending for a while and want to find out more about what becoming an “official” member of Hillcrest means, this event is for you.
