Men’s Steak Fry

Hillcrest men will be eating well at a Steak Fry on Saturday, June 22 at 5:30 pm at the church pavilion. Grill your own steak which will be accompanied by potatoes, salad, and dessert. Cost is $15, but if cost is a problem, just let us know. Sign up at the Information Station on Sunday or contact the church office (716-483-3331) so that the appropriate number of steaks are purchased.

Cradle Month

June is Cradle Month, an opportunity to provide extra support for our partners at Options Care Center. Pick up an empty baby bottle at the display in the church lobby and fill it with loose change or drop a cash or check donation in the cradle.

Say “Thank You”

Our deacons have designated May at Pastor Appreciation Month at Hillcrest, and they encourage the Hillcrest family to say “thanks” to our dedicated pastoral team. You can designate a monetary gift in your offering, send a note or email, or find another way to express your appreciation.

God’s Design for Sex & Gender

Benevolent Fund

Each month on the 1st Sunday we provide an opportunity to give to the Deacon Benevolent Fund. God provides the necessary funds each month allowing our deacons to assist those in our Hillcrest family who are experiencing financial need. While this assistance is always confidential, we can give a very public “Thank You” to the Lord giving us such wonderful, practical ways to love one another! Ladies Bible Study Resumes

Women of all ages are invited to gain practical insights from the Psalms when the Ladies Bible Study resumes on Tuesday, April 2 at 10 am. Kathy Osgood leads “Lyrics of Life” by Lisa Harper which focuses on how our emotions affect our relationship with God. The group will continue to meet weekly.

Worship on Easter Sunday

We will worship together at our usual times at 8:45 am and 11 am on Easter Sunday, March 31, as we celebrate the risen Lord. Both services will include a time of baptism with believers sharing their faith in Jesus. Hillcrest University classes for adults, youth, and preschool will meet as usual at 10 am. Discovery Town kids will meet at the Family Center at 10 am, then will participate in the 11 am service with their families after singing.

SALT for Older Adults

Hillcrest’s SALT ministry (Serving as Living Testimonies) provides activities for older adults to stay connected with one another with two events for march. Join the group for dinner at Davidson’s on March 12 at 5 pm–meet at the restaurant and order from the menu. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 15 at 5 pm at the church at a Potluck Supper. A homemade chicken and biscuit dinner is planned for our next Quarterly Gathering on Sunday, February 4 at 5:30 pm. Desserts will be provided by entrants in our Dessert Bake Off Contest. Older adults (empty-nesters and beyond) will share memories at a SALT potluck supper and activity evening on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 5 pm. Bring a dish to pass–something popular in the ’50s, ’60s, or ’70s, your Bible, and recollections from yester-year (optional). Sound like fun?
