Hillcrest is getting ready to kick off the back-to-school season. A new quarter of fall Hillcrest University classes take the field on Sunday, Sept. 3. Blood Drive
Donate blood and give life! Hillcrest hosts the Community Blood Bank on Wednesday, August 16, 1-6 pm. Register here for an appointment. Homemade treats will be provided to donors. This annual event is held at Hillcrest in memory of Charlene Kidder.
All-church Picnic
Connect with friends and with our VBS families on Sunday, July 23 at 12:15 pm following the 11 am VBS Celebration Service. Sign up at the Information Station.
Season Your Summer with SALT
Older adults (empty-nesters and beyond) will gather for friendly putt-putt competition at Lakewood Golf Center on July 15 at 4 pm with pizza following. Sign up at the Information or call the church office (716-483-3331). Reservations are now being accepted for an overnight bus excursion to Sight & Sound Theater to see Moses Sept. 29-30. Information is available in the church lobby or through the office.
Outbound Summer
Outbound Youth (grades 6-12) lights up summer with Summer Sunday Night events beginning Sunday, July 9 at 6:30 pm at the Hillcrest Famiily Center. Enjoy a bonfire, snacks, and an activity. Bring a friend (or three!) to join in the fun. Sunday night weekly events continue through July.
Read the Bible
The Daily New Testament reading group on the YouVersion Bible app continues with the 3rd quarter beginning on July 1. New members are invited to join and existing members are reminded follow this link to be part of reading and reflecting on daily readings in the New Testament.
Support Options Care
June is Bottle Month at Hillcrest for our partners at Options Care Center. You can help provide free pregnancy resources to women in our community by picking up a bottle at the display in the lobby, filling it with loose change, and returning it by Sunday, June 25, or you may place a cash or check donation in the cradle.
Support for Caregivers
Those caring for a loved one, whether providing daily physicalcare or regularly overseeing other needs, can feel burdened bythe stress of ongoing demands. “Finding Hope and Meaning” isthe topic of tonight’s discussion at our monthly CaregiversSupport Group, meeting Sunday, May 21 at 6:30 pm led by Pastor Steve.Newcomers are welcome as well as guests
Get Your Picture Taken
Plans are in the works to produce a new up-to-date Hillcrest Directory. If you’re part of the Hillcrest family, we want you to be included. Photographers will be taking pictures on Sundays, May 14, 21, and 28, with a special offer of a free print for those who get their picture taken on Mother’s Day.
