Prayer Chain

Prayer Chain

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them, intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 1 Timothy 2:1

God encourages us in the Word to spend time in prayer for others. When we pray for one another, we are asking God to take action; we are asking Him to do what we cannot.

The Great Apostle Paul shows us why praying for one another is important, and he asks the Ephesians to pray for him.

18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, Ephesians 6:18-19

Paul knew he was not strong enough on his own and needed God’s intercession. He knew he needed others to bring those needs before the Lord on his behalf. Jesus did not mean for us to live this life alone.

Hillcrest’s Prayer Chain helps us to bathe each other in prayer daily so that we all experience God’s intercession in our lives. If you would like to be a part of the Prayer Chain here at Hillcrest, fill out the form below and the office will add you to our mailing list.
