31 Days of Prayer

31 Days of Prayer

31 Days to Stand in the Gap

Twice each year the entire church family engages in a season of prayer, not only on Sundays, but throughout the week. Our spring prayer emphasis will be 31 Days to Stand in the Gap taking place March 6-April 4.

Our theme comes from our guidebook, sub-titled “The Secrets of Intercession” by Andrew Murray who teaches us how to genuinely intercede for others in prayer. More than a devotional book, it is your personal guide to a deeper walk with Jesus! Copies are available in the church lobby for a suggested donation of $5.

Our prayer team has planned several ways to help you go deeper in prayer during the 31 days:

Daily Video Posts and Podcasts: Visit our Facebook page, YouTube channel, or the Fresh Prayer podcast to watch or listen to each day’s guidebook reading by a member of our Hillcrest family.

Neighborhood Prayer Walk: Meet at the church at 1:30 pm Saturday, March 4. Two other churches plus a team from Grove City College will join us to kick-off our spring emphasis by praying as we walk the Hillcrest property and neighborhood.

Sunday Prayer Time: Plan to come early or stay late to pray over the requests that will be posted on the sanctuary walls. An extended time of prayer focusing on those requests will be a part of each Sunday’s worship. Post-its will be available in the lobby for you to write and add your requests to the wall or submit them here.

Prayer Walk for Hillcrest: Meet on Saturday, April 1 at 10 am to tour both buildings room-by-room as you pray with others for all of the groups and ministries that meet in those rooms. Meet in Room 400 to start.

Concerts of Prayer: Both morning services on Sunday, March 12 will focus on prayer as we expectantly wait for and prepare for the Holy Spirit to move in us and through us.
